July 4th

Yep I am waaayyyy on behind with my blogging. It just seemed the behinder I got the more I didn't feel like catching up. But with the end of the year coming up I know that I need to just buckle down and do it. Last year I slurped my blog into a book and I really like the simplicity of doing that and I hope to do that again this year.
Anyway now let me take you way back to the beginning of summer when the grass was green, the sky were blue, and the warm air was gently blowing across your cheeks. The date was July 4th and there was a frenzy of activity as I was getting ready for Quintin's family to gather at my house to celebrate.

Quintin's parents had just got back from a trip to Nevada to visit family.

                                                           Which explains the cowboy hat.

Trina was at our house over that time.

Good 'ole' Jalepeno poppers
Abbi's not so sure about them.

Next were the fireworks

We met Sarah for the first time :)

And last but not least.
Watch me, Deann
Take a picture, Deann
I love you Trina.

Happy 9th birthday, Olivia

Nine things I love about you
The way your eyes crinkle when you laugh
Your red hair
how polite you still are after the hundredth person said they like your hair
your willingness to help
how you love and take care of your brother and sisters
your determination to get the job done
how you like getting down on the floor and playing with the babies
how you still like dolls and princess and are not growing up too quinck
how patient and forgiving you are with me
I love you forever and ever!

Happy 5th birthday Katrina!

So our little munchkin was at our house for two weeks over her birthday.

This is her at one day old.
Don't I look good for having a day old baby?
Kidding! (We are foster parents)
She was such a little peanut.

We had a little princess themed party for her.
Love you Katrina :)

Preston's 7 month pictures

Although he is over 8 months now.
I'm amazed how much he has grown.

At this time he was not crawling just rocking back and forth
He has 6 chompers
He weights around 20 pounds
Yep he's a chunk

Well, Bless his heart

Three months shy of ten years together my husband
(not mentioning any names here to protect his privacy)
stopped along the road and picked me some wild flowers.

Not sure what I did to deserve it
but I must say these meant more to me
than any he could have bought me at the store.
Now that being said I wouldn't turn those down either.
He did give me petunias in a hanging basket for
Mother's day that I'm trying to limp along.
Poor dears :(
Much to Quintin and my surprise my ferns are doing great though.

Well, have a good day.
I'm going swimming
over an hour away
with four children
with a friend
that has five children.
Maybe I'll climb back to bed
while they're still sleeping
and pretend we went
yesterday and they just forget.
