    Christmas at the Nolt house

We had pizza, shrimp, and soda

    one
    two
    three
    GO!!

Olivia and Madi got PJs that match their dolls.
    Abbi got PJs too.

Preston got PJs and a truck with logs that are not edible!

He sticks his lower lip out all the time right now.

What are those crazy kids doing now?
They are playing with the family gift.
    We got a wii.

    They love it!
I like this picture below because Olivia's hair is flying in the corner.

Yep, another picture of Preston with something in his mouth.
I'm always digging things out  ^_^

All in all a great little Christmas

Thanksgiving and a tree

How did our Thanksgiving start out?
Just like any other weekend.
Madi and Olivia gathered all their Polly Pockets, McDonald toys,
Secret Heart girls, and any other little girl in the house, piled them on the table and
played who knows exactly what.

They have a BIG imagination.

Get. me. out. of. here.

Then that afternoon I thought maybe I should try to make
Thanksgiving a little special so I quickly rounded up
some pretty plates and napkins and decorations.

That afternoon I also went outside, tore a
branch off the lilac bush and stuck it in a planter.
The kids asked what that was.
I said that it is a thankful tree.
O-kay.
I told them I would cut out leaves then we would
write things on them that we were thankful for.

They were really excited.
Madi said we should do this every Thanksgiving!
Quintin was so excited too. Can't you tell?
I have two pictures of him yawning while doing this. LOL!
something that we're thankful for

God
family
cell phones
 bottle (Preston)
 blanket (Abbi)
dishes to play with
fridge
hairspray
school
job

Clearly my children need more practice with
the sitting down and smiling department.

Our thankful tree.

Next year I think I'll do it earlier in the season so that it
can be part of my fall decoration.
It's one of the few kid's craft projects that we've done
that I wouldn't mind setting around :)

Madi turned seven this month!!

So how do you celebrate a cute little girl's birthday in our house?
You have a princess party!

First you have to invite other little princesses.

Don't forget to sit down and visit for awhile

Gather around and pick out your rings, wings, and necklaces.
All required for a perfect party.

More visiting and a little play time

Most important though, is sitting down for alot of
chocolate milk, candy, cake, donuts
and maybe a  heart shaped sandwich or veggies and dip,
if the mood hits you.

Next
smile for your adoring fans and blow out your candles
Does she looked pleased or what?!

I had soooo much fun planning this party.
When I showed Quintin the stuff he said I'm having more fun
then the girls.
I enjoyed planning it but they enjoyed the party just as much.

I had alot of the stuff on hand but some of it I got at
Party City
Dollar Tree
Salvation Army
Goodwill
Cheap, cheap, I know.

This party was made possible by Thelma Nolt (Quintin's mom)
who babysat Preston and Abbi
so that I would only have to do everything once,
I could lay things down and they would stay there,
the table cloth would not be pulled off the table,
all the lollypops licked before the party,
and I wouldn't have baby snot on my shoulder!
Thank you, mom!!!!

Abbi's 2nd birthday

Abbi had a very low key party this year.
Being two is drama enough.

Two things I like best about my two year old?

1. I love how you watch and then copy
everything your older sisters say and do.
See those watchful eyes below?

2. I love how you love to be snuggled and held and
I love how you love your blanket.

Can you guess what Abbi got for her birthday?
A baby that drinks and eats.
It says
More, please
I love bananas
Yummy in my tummy
mama
Happy Birthday, Abbi-girl!!
Here are some recent pictures of the birthday girl.

Another school year has begone

Here are some pictures of Olivia and Madi's first day of school.
Their first day was Aug. 23.
They are going to Bethel Dunkard Brethren this year.
It's only 5 minutes down the road and they have bussing.

Olivia's in 3rd and Madi's in 1st

New backpacks and lunch bags.
They are so excited about packing their lunches.
I wasn't so excited about that.
It turned out not to be as big of a deal.
They don't eat much plus they're so picky, their lunches are
pretty similar everyday.

Last June on their last day of school.
Not much has changed.
Although I think they're happier about the last day of school
then the first day of school.

5th annual Rockhall, MD trip

Yep, This summer we made the trip down to that tiny beach house
with many kids.
We had a ton of fun and look forward to this time of year.
 Hailey and Madi

Jaymes, Jayden, and Avery

Abbi eating sand and water :(

Abbi loving the water.

Jen, Jr, Jayden, and Larson

Double trouble Jayden and Jaymes

Took a little extra time on Madi's hair.
I

Talania

Jen and Mary Lou

Tessa and Madi
We tried to get a picture of the two red heads but
they did not cooperate.

This picture was torture for all of us.

Yeah we had a great time.
Someday I'll learn not to make the children pose.
But man, sometimes I want just one picture of them together.
