Earth's saddest day and gladdest day are three days apart.

    Susan Coolidge
     He arose! He arose!
We celebrated Easter at our house.
A few days before Quintin and the girls made this resurrection garden. I got the idea from Pinterest. Next year I think I will actually plant the grass but this was done very last minute so we just dug out a clump of grass to use.

    Then we cleaned.
Madi's job was to take all the cushions off the sofas and vacuum.
The babies had so much fun "helping"!

    Madi is not very impressed.

I can hear Abbi giggling just by looking at this picture.

Madi was taking forever with this job.
When I checked on her I found her sucking Preston's belly with the hose.
He was laughing and laughing. It was so cute.

    Easter morning
I took a quick shot of the place settings.
They aren't anything special just very casual this year.
    I made
    cheeseburger chowder
    ham and cheese sticky buns
    BLT salad.
    for dessert I made
peanut butter cup trifle (from pinterest)
    vanilla ice cream

I made these resurrection eggs for each of us to open around the table.
    I got the idea here.

    Two cousins
    five weeks apart
    ready to eat

After lunch Olivia kept whispering to me, "can we do the egg hunt, can we do the egg hunt?"
I said go ask dad. I snapped a picture of her asking him.

I walked outside and found Madi patiently waiting for the hunt to begin.
I had also told her to go outside if she keeps blowing that recorder.
Then when I was outside I told her she needs to go to the other side of the house to blow that thing.

We had to keep such a sharp eye on Preston because he likes to wander all over the place.
At least he picks up his shoe when it comes off :)

I could hardly convince these two to stand still beside each other long enough to take a picture.

Finally got everyone together to take a family picture.

    The Dieffenbach's

    Abbi collecting eggs

Preston carried his basket on his arm like a purse..

    Inspecting the loot.

Grandma made these baskets filled with goodies with her cricket.
One side had their name and the other side
had a picture of a boy or girl.

Look at those freckles on her nose!
    HA! HA! HA!
One last one just taken this morning.
The girls were playing with their Easter toys and candy and Preston climbed on the table. Olivia was so annoyed and was yelling at me to get him down but I was busy laughing so hard and taking a picture of his crack!

almost 10

I can't believe Olivia will be 10 this summer.

I have noticed a big difference in her this year.
She is so dependable and a hard worker.

She is looking so much older too.

I remember this day. (June 2009)
It was your first summer with us.
You and Madi and I went strawberry picking.

You guys are so little.
I am so glad you are apart of my life.
I love you.
